The Resurrection Collection was inspired by a chance discovery of dead stock antique fob chains and chatelaines, dating back to the 1920s. These forgotten chains were originally produced by the Jakob Bengel factory in Germany, founded in 1873 and later becoming renowned for their distinctive Art Deco jewellery during the 1920s and 30s.
I fell in love with their unique designs and decided to reimagine a few as necklaces, reconstructing and plating them in 18k recycled gold. After keeping a few for myself and gifting a few to close friends, they attracted so many comments that I decided to make them available to others.
And so, the Resurrection Collection was born.
